Hello,
Can't seem to find a fuel filter on my 2007 Chevy Colorado 2WD 2.9L engine.

According to a parts search: "Strainer is inside the module assembly."
Like most modern vehicles, the strainer/filter is part of an entire assembly.

Unfortunately, yes. It’s in the fuel tank. On most trucks, it’s easier to use an engine hoist to lift the bed up. If a hoist is not available, a bed can be moved back or tilted enough to get the pump out.

FWIW, the fuel filter for '07 Colorado is not a regular scheduled maintenance item.

Lack of engine power. An overall lack or engine power in all gears can be due to a lack of fuel getting to the injectors. ...
Engine stalling under strain. If you find that the engine is losing power under hard acceleration or going up a steep incline, then it may be down to a bad fuel filter. ...
