Spring Tune-Up time and I found a box of 8 of these rapid fire 1's in the cabinet. Just wanted to show a picture comparing.

Is there any type of grease I can put in my spark plug boots to make them more removable.

Plugs & Wires are only 2 years old.

I wanted to test to see if these Rapid Fire 1's would work and I tried pulling 2 spark plug wires and ruined both.....The boots are like super-glued onto my plugs and I tried everything from wiggling/twisting/90 degree pliers.

Im never buying those AC Delco 8mm Wires again if they are basically a 1 time use on my 454.

I think my original set of wires did that. I used some Taylor Spiro Pro's for awhile, but didn't like them... for cosmetic reasons, I'm sure they did their job fine. Those eventually got replaced with another set of OEM wires, and I have purposely not removed them, for that reason.

Usually dielectric grease is used on wire boots. I removed the wire from the coil a few weeks ago, and applied grease when I put it back. The wire came off the coil pretty easily anyway... probably because it doesn't reach a million degrees like the plugs do.
