Since I am here (...updating all my log on IDs and passwords) I thought I would post a quick note to let you all know, after 39 years and 7 months, I have accepted a retirement package from General Motors.

Last day worked was Feb 7, last day as a GM employee was Feb 28.

I spent the bulk of that time in Full Size Truck product design and development, as well as Engineering Program Management. All told I worked on six generations of Full Size Trucks (C/K/R/V, GMT400, GMT800, GMT900, K2 and T1), one small car (GenI Volt and derivatives) and one "big" car (that I am not at liberty to talk about).

I don't imagine anything will change here, although I might find more time to post.

K

Congrats on your retirement. Now you will begin to wonder how you ever had time to go to work.

Looks like you got out of GM at just the right time! Almost 40 years is more than enough. Stay busy is the only advice I have to offer, and have fun! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

You are a big contributor to ChevyTalk forums and especially our trucks. It's nice to have an engineer/designer as a forum member.

Congrats on your Retirement Keith my wife & I've been retired for the last 13 years now, and cannot imagine how we ever found the time to work...it will never happen again in this lifetime anyway, hardest thing to do now is manage our "time" , but when everyday is Saturday, what's a guy to do

Hope you didn't work at Lordstown. I understand they more or less pulled the rug out from under people there. It's a new world and I don't like it.

Just because your car/truck was "Made In America" doesn't mean it's American made... think about it. Buy American First.

Congrats on your retirement. I retired from a large insurance company 25 years ago this year after 29 years of service. Best thing I ever did. I have loved retirement and do not miss the work environment at all, but I must admit I still have dreams (nightmares) about working at my old job...

Congrats on the retirement. You’ll probably be busier than ever.
