Hey folks..my sons 97 monte I bought required a idler pulley replacement. I couldn't turn it over before I bought it but it was a good price so I bit.
Anyway the car came with a new pulley set and serpentine belt but should i be wary of any internal damage when the pulley broke and throwing the timing off?

The external drive belts have nothing to do with the engine timing or anything internal in the engine. Just replace the pulley and belt and all should be okay.
