CE4N36101. Can anyone identify this number/engine ?

If you can get the cast numbers off the back on the drivers side or pull a valve cover and get the casting number there and the date.

As near as I can tell it's a chevy crate engine hence the "CE". Here is a link. scroll down about 2/3rds down. best way to know, is to get the nums from above bell housing on left side.
