Started this 1957 283 after long storage. Mounted a 4 bbl Carter WCFB #2366S in good shape. I know it’s suppose to be a #2505, but it’s the best I could find. How much vacuum will I see at base vacuum port with no air filter installed? Thanks

Tough to answer, state of tune, engine condition, type of camshaft, are some of the issues that would most affect idle vacuum. If basically stock around 17-20" vacuum, needle steady.

With a stock(replacement) cam I could get 18 inches.( no snide comments)

Tom Ordway If you don't drive it, why have it?
