I've been going through my '36 Coach getting it ready for this summer's driving. My first question is, what exactly do I have? Here are the numbers I have been able to find.
Block - M6598808
Style – 36-1201
Body – K7566Z
Trim – 50
paint – 196

Using the '34/'35 Service Manual with the '36 amendment, it says to put shock absorber oil in the shocks. Since I haven't seen that on any shelves lately, what do I use?

Also, what are some of the parts places for the '36? Chev's of the 40's doesn't go that far back.

thanks, Ken

Thanks Gene. It's interesting that the exterior and interior colors do not agree with the codes. I wasn't sure if this was a factory color because all the color chips I've seen online are much darker. There was a '36 on the cover of G&D some years ago that is the same color, so I assumed this was a factory color. Do you know the name of this color? Also, I'd consider my interior more tan than brown, but I like the car the way it is, so that's all I care about.
