Wondering if anyone else on here has done an LS swap in to a first gen MC? The one I picked up has the chrome ribbed hoses for both the upper and lower radiator. I'm not really a fan of that look and would like to change them out. hoping somebody has done the hard part and figured out what fits.

I haven’t done it, but probably will in the future, so I’d be interested in seeing other responses. But I can tell you what I did for my El Camino when I switched to an aluminum radiator and a serpentine belt system. I bent a couple of coat hangers to the shape I needed and to the right length. I then went to the parts store and asked if I could compare my templates to their hoses. They let me and I didn’t have to look for long. One was perfect and the other had to be trimmed down on length a little bit. I don’t quite remember what I did to make sure the diameter was correct on both ends.

I did find a upper hose that fit for and LS1 install in a first gen Monte Carlo Gates 21659. Still need a lower. I'll let you know what I find.

I’m glad you had luck with the upper. Thanks for posting the number. I may need it in the future since I plan to do an LS swap on my Monte eventually. I wish you luck with the lower hose.
