Finished taking the rear end out to put in new tank. Had new leaf springs so I put them in to, but the bushing didn't fit new springs and old spring hangers so made new one out of some delin I had here. The car has a really nice stance now. 2 inch lowered 6 leaf out back and 2 inch lowered springs and 2 inch dropped spindles in front

And you plan to bench press that axle back into place....must have ran out of jack stands. Might as well replace the u joints drain the rear end fluid and do the brakes.

I agree with your philosophy of working on everything in the area of the car you are touching.

couldn't get the gas tank out with the rear end on the jack stands that I have so I just dropped it on the ground. Used a jack to get it back up. U joints next
