- replaced 216 with a 235 in my 46 Coupe
- Exhaust manifold on 216 exits straight down
- ..on 235 it slants to rear and hits throttle linkage
- like to keep linkage if possible
- ...did some 235 manifolds go straight down???

What year 235? On some swaps you can still use the same linkage parts but have to shorten the link between the pedal and it's connection to the bell crank.

235 is a 1958

...Think/thought i had an older 235 in a pile
- valve cover with 4 bolts
- but carb bolts on manifold too narrow and...exhaust exits straight down

Finally, found correct pivot point
but linkage...going from fulcrum to carb (Rochester)
is too long (in pic ) by about 2-3 inches
(tape shows connection point)

Looks like you need to cut it off and rebend the end.

I may have an original part, I had to modify a after market part provided with headers. Leaving for a short trip but will check when I get home. If I Have one I will give it to you for the price of shipping.
