I need a new head light switch but I only want to use the 'behind the dash' part. I don't mind purchasing entire unit but I do not intend to use the 'knob' and screw on bezel. My dash and all the knobs/switches are original and I want the dash to retain that original appearance.

Can I simply use my original knob and attaching bezel with your 'new' switch?

Thanks.

Pete

Is your car still stock? Still have the original harness in it, or our Classic Update? If original, you can't use the one we sell in our kits (500332). We have the original available, P/N 01995096. They are about 30-35 bucks.

Donny,

The wiring and light switch are original.

So, I will have no problem with the 'behind' the dash section of your part with my original 'in front' of the dash knob and bezel?

Thanks for the reply and part number.

Hi Pete. Not if you use the one I referenced. The kit with the knob, shaft, etc. Would not have plugged into your harness because it is a 64-up designed switch.

Thanks Donny!

I did not know there was a difference 63 to 64. Just to satisfy my curiosity, how do they differ?

Also, I need a dimmer switch. I've found your p/n 01995096 and 500286. Will those suffice?

Thanks.

Pete

They are a completely different design. Connectors are different as well. Yes, the two items you mention will fix you up.
