My 2001 Sierra has a rubber/vinyl seal at the top of the fender where it meets the hood. It runs the length of the hood with one on each side. With age it has warped and come loose in multiple places and would like to replace it however, I cannot find any part info anywhere. LMC does not show the seal and multiple GM parts websites list something like a seal but do not list any part # info. My best guess is the part is not available and will try to add a photo soon. Any and all info and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Trying to picture this.

Let's see if these photos clear up any confusion my initial post created. You are correct, running
cowl to headlights.

I'm not familiar with the GMT-800's, but that looks like something added to me.

After more research this morning, I may have found the answer. It appears to be a "fender seal strip" and rather expensive so I may try reshaping with a heat gun.

I have never seen them.
Maybe they were optional?
Or varied by area. Maybe for dust prone areas?

Maybe a cold weather package
My truck came with the block heater as a standard option since it was sold in canada

Never seen those before...and from the looks of the cuts around the hood bumpers, they don't appear OEM. I'd question if and why they're even necessary. They look like a spot for moisture and debris to collect and rot out the fender.

They are factory. I forgot to put one back on a guys truck before and he came back to have it installed.
