Hello again all...
Want to replace my bench seat with a set of buckets. I thought I read that a certain set from a later Chevy truck installs without too much modification. Have any of you done this? Looking for any recommendations. Prefer just a manual adjust seat. This is a 1966 C10 with a manual floor shift.
Thanks! Don

For 66,buckets were available from the factory.
Called "Buddy buckets".
Same were used in 67 and 68.
They are hard to find.
I have them in my 68,C-10.

I did install a set of buckets from a '99 GMC truck in my truck. The main advantage is the shoulder seat belt. I actually installed them with the center jump seat for a bench, but they can be installed without the jump seat. The only fabrication was cutting new holes, and re-inforcing the new holes. However, my fuel tank was removed, so I didn't have to deal with that. I'm sure that a seat would fit with the fuel tank in there, it just may be futher forward than you'd like. The new seat wasn't as far back as the old one, which may be a problem for people who are taller than me (I'm 6'2"). If you want to go that route, look for a leather seat from a '01 or so, they seem to have the least depth to them and should be able to go back further.

I went with the TMI seats from CJ pony parts. $$$
CJponyparts seem to have a lot of parts for our trucks.
