Cool Story Tony! This is a great site! I was an Oldsmobile man since highschool when I drove a 1974 Cutlass Supreme. Then I bought another Cutlass Supreme later on then sold it and got it back. Years later I found out that my dad had a 1964 Impala SS. I never really knew my dad as he died when I was 5 years old, but the thought of having a car like his plagued me until I found one and bought it. I couldn't afford two projects so I sold the Cutlass and boy was that hard to do. I am now driving a car like dads and fixing it up as I go. I'll always love Oldsmobiles but there's something about looking down the hood of my Impala and knowing my dad looked down the hood of one too. This site has been very helpful and I'm glad I found it! I know it's been helpful to many.

Congratulations to Tony and ChevyTalk on this milestone anniversary!

I learned about ChevyTalk from the parts manager of my local Chevy dealership who was the President of the Chevelle Club of St. Louis. I've been here for 15 years, actually longer because I didn't know you had to be registered to make a post!

My mentors here were Steve Kimball (aka Smokey), and Mark Worthington (aka 55Redneck). Smokey recommended that I be made a Moderator of the 65-66 and 67-70 Full Size forums and Tony accepted!

I've certainly enjoyed my time here and also the ability and freedom to create our CT Reference Area for the 65-70 Full Size cars.

I highly recommend ordering one of Tony's Anniversary coffee mugs, they're really cool!

Congratulations Tony. Great story. I've not been here long but have gained a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for staying with it when it was costing you so much, money & time.

I was employed at GM dealerships most of my working life. Spent some time at some Euro imports, a Jeep Chry but kept coming back to GM. I have owned our '66 Impala since high school and just put it back on the road after sitting in various stages of disrepair since 1982. Dirt bike racing took most of my time back then but in '15 I decided I was going to retire from employment and the garage was going to be my sanctuary, so I told the wife something had to go, either the Impala gets put back together and driven or parted out. Her response was "you dated me in that car, so it stays"! Well a project is born.

Funny how these things in our lives come to be! I quit racing bikes a while back but continued to ride pretty often till 5 or so years ago. I found many like minded people on a bike forum, I told the creator of that forum awhile back that even though I don't ride as much as I used to I would still support his forum because of the connections it creates.

I hope you will sit back and think about it one day and realize how many people you have touched by starting this forum. Since you know the numbers, perhaps you already have.

Again, Thank you for all you have done.

Congrats Tony!

Although not on as much anymore, this forum has been a great resource for me and my Canadian Pontiac stuff. I've met many great people through the site, and hopefully have been able to help a few through the years. Can't believe I've been a member since 2004! Where do the years go? Anyway, here's to many more successful years... Cheers!
