Hi, I had to replace the heater core in my 2010 equinox and now I am finding it blows cold air when idling at red lights and even after 20 min of starting; I have to be driving to get any hot air. The place that fixed it is telling me nothing is wrong and this is how the heater works.
I think something is wrong because before the repair my car would toasty after 20 min of running before driving.
Should I have the system flushed and cleaned or could there be something wrong with my temp sensor?
I appreciate all and any help answers

Angie

Air in the cooling system would be my guess or you got ripped off.

Thanks Junkman104, do you think a full flush would help?

What was the reason you replaced the heater core? I need a little more information.

I could smell antifreeze in the car and the passenger side of window would fog up intermittently when driving.

Instead of a lot of typing I copied someone else's bleeding directions. Give this a read. https://www.equinoxforum.net/29-1st-gen-equinox/17 730-ridding-your-coolant- system-air-pockets.html
