I've had 5 '56 Chevys through the years and I always believed the '55 and '56 Heater Control Assemblies were the same, but I see in catalogs that they are listed separately. What is the difference between the two?

Thanks

The cables are connected to the levers in a different way. The 55 levers have a screw to clamp the cable in a hole. The 56 levers have a pin on the lever and a loop on the end of the cable. Probably made assembly easier at the factory.

I think the chrome bezels are the same though, only the levers are different.

Will they Interchange?

Maybe by using the same year Cables?

On my 55 I used the 56 levers and cables since it's easier to service. Plus I already had NOS 56 levers lol.

The switch wire connectors are also different.
