im looking for info on engine block number t1030jo now it says in chevy by the numbers the engine is 396* turbohydromatic 2bbl, 265 hp. police now what does 396*
with an astirice mean , I understand carb police use but was this block used to hot rod? what kind of HP would you get with edelebrock manifold 700cfm 4bbl,carb
cam, headers elecctronic ingition , was this something done because of engine block availabilety thank you for any help with this Willyd

The 265 hp, 2bbl 396 was only available in any 1969 full size cars, most used for the low end torque and only good for pulling trailers. I imagine the block would be a good starting point.

thanks for the imput I know what was done to the body but not the engine its in a 69 chevelle ss with polyglass tires I raced it a few times it turned high 13s ive only raced a few times car is fast sounds great I dont think I should dyno it wouldnt want to blow it up Its a beautiful show car someday it may get torn down and I would find out more about it.
