No, but the trans needs to be pulled back. Next the flex plate comes off. It's a one piece seal. Are you sure it's leaking? Check the rear valve cover area. Next, the mating surface between the lower intake and block edge. Next, the oil pressure sensor too. If any of those leak, it will look like a rear main seal leak.
