Hi all,

Bearing in mind we have an absolute max budget of $10k, limited time to search, say 5 days. Where would we best look for a chev truck pre 1984. Needs to be an honest car in that ideally original and no rust. They are fanatics here in Mew Zealand for car compliancing when shipped in.

I am thinking maybe Texas or LA?

And if yes, then where do I start looking?

Also I hear of car/truck parking lots where people dispose their vehicles. Are these worth looking at and where would they be?

Thank you

Car events in Southern California:

Pomona Swap Meet will have dozens of trucks that meet your criteria: Https://
This swap meet is very large.

Long Beach Swap Meet should have many of these trucks also:
This swap meet is much smaller than Pomona

Lots of car auctions in the Phoenix/Scotsdale, AZ area in the middle of January.

Thanks for the advice, that is really so awesome!! If we do head over to wherever is it also worth also visiting any dealers? If yes then which ones?

Also, needing to coordinate payment and shipping.

Would be great if we could establish a good point of contact with someone or a business who can understand what we need so that if the process is successful we could look to replicate this again at some point for outselves or others

Thanks again for the information to date. It is pretty awesome.

Cheers Lawrence

Go to Las Vegas. There are a lot of people that went to Las Vegas in a $6,000 car and went home in a $500,000 bus. Seriously the Southwest has the best cars and trucks, less rust.
