Hi all,

Just joined the forum and looking for some advice.

Am planning to make a trip to the States from a New Zealand. Hopefully in a few months time to try find a truck in good condition and rust free.

Anything 1986 or older.

What are my chances of finding one in the south west to meet the criteria?

Ideal for us is somewhere in or close to LA as we have friends we can stay with.

Anyone also got views on cars availability in Hawaii? And issibuying from there?

Cheers
Lawrence

A friend from Sweden just bought a 1963 Chevy C-10 1/2 ton pickup for $3,000 U.S. I believe that you can do as well. As far as Hawaii goes I do not know. When you arrive send me a post. I have a 1966 Chevy that you might like.

I would think more availability would be in So Cal than Hawaii. It is drier here, so maybe less rust. Maybe a little more shipping? Good luck.
