I have a problem with my '60 Impala steering column. I need to know where the small ball bearing ring goes in relation to the other parts below steering wheel. I believe it goes under the horn ring parts but not totally sure. Also, does anyone have a new or used same bearing? Really could use it, as mine is rough. And my replacement horn contactor beveled ring keeps cracking into Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bruce C.

The horn bearing is inside the horn slip ring assembly and comes as part of that assembly. The split ring goes under the spring and is forced against the bearing when the steering wheel is installed, to take any play out between the shaft and the bearing.
