Anyone use this mirror on a rain guard? Says it fits left or right door edge.

They are mounted on the door. Other than being somewhat decorative they are close to useless. Way to small for use in today's traffic.

Traffic? What traffic? The closest traffic light is 20 miles away and the 3 mile long 4 lane road is 22 miles away. Our danger is deer, not traffic. Besides, isn't most of the stuff we do to our cars decorative?

Decorative? True. Just wanted to warn you. Traffic there sounds like it used to be here, then Money found Big Sky, and Bozeman and the disease is spreading.

Hi Tommy
My peep does mount on the left door rain drip guard. I put a stick-on fisheye lens over the flat lens and I can actually check the left and right side blind spot with it.

Big money here is Turkey season when the village park gets 5 campers. We live 3 miles from Kaleva, population 463. Maple Grove Twp, 1,285. There is nothing here, nothing. The only things that spreads here is sand in the winter, sodium chloride and manure in the summer.

They look like the mirrors on our '50. they were good enough for us when we travelled from Cal. to Chicago and back. Didn't find the size to be a problem and they do look kinda cool.

I've got the ones that mount to the door just below the trim. Drivers side is OK. Passenger side was useless and I took it off.

Dav, I have the same ones, but I'm not going to use them. I was going to play around and make new stems for them, but I just might get the ones I linked to, like the ones Ron has on his Fleetline.

I tried them, they were useless for me.I broke down and bought a rear view camera! It is located on the top of my license plate holder! I went with a battery operated rear view mirror that clamps onto the original mirror! The only wiring is a remote small antenna located inside my trunk, it's so small it's not noticeable at all, it is wired to my car battery located in my trunk!Bought everything from tadiBrothers.com

Not sure what rain guard you speak there of, mine attaches to the little guard over the wing window, I like it.

I have similar ones to the ones Ron listed but I have my peep mirrors mounted above the rain deflectors. They clip on the door edge and fasten with a couple of set screws. I have them mounted so the vent window still clear them when opened wide. I believe they are long arm 4" (car is not here so I can't measure them.) The passenger side mirror is a Convex mirror. I can see perfectly with them.

The key to using them is adjusting them correctly. Most people adjust mirrors so they can see rear fenders when in driving position, you can't see blind spots this way. The driver side-lay your head on the window and adjust until you just see the top of rear fender. Passenger side-put your head in center of car and adjust til you see top of rear fender. Now when you are in driving position you will be able to see behind you in both lanes and in blind spots. It will feel awkward driving at first but once you get used to it, you will wonder why you ever adjusted them the old way.

Tommy
Thought I had a better pic of mine but I'll have to take a fresh one to post. One set screw mounts it to the rain guard and with the convex mirror I get a pretty good view. Doesn't interfere with the vent opening.
