Fender has been epoxy primed and covered with 3 coats of 2k (within window time frame.) If I sand with 80 grit, will the rage gold adhere properly? There are still a few low areas, no more than 1/8” that need to be filled. Would polyester glazing putty be better?

Either would probably be okay. The glazing putty would probably have a better chance of sticking. But if you use the regular filler and it sands well and seems to be adhering well, it should be good to go.
