2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT

driver side door, window issues

Hi Folks.

so, the driver side door window started this thing where it does not want to roll all of the way up. It rolls down fine, but it will stop several times before it rolls all the way back up... and acts like it does not want to roll up all the way. Right now I have it all the way up, luckily.

I took a look at the driver side door switch... and holy moly, it's got computer parts in there! All of the other windows go up and down just fine, so I'm leaning towards it not being the 'driver side door module(DDM)', but, it could be!

I checked the grounds and the hot wires going into the DDM with a multi-meter, continuity on the grounds and 12 volts on the hot.

If I knew which wires went to the motor to make it go up and go down, then I could just jump the point with a wire to test if the motor will go up and down just fine or if it still hesitates on the way up. Any of you have a wiring diagram handy?

Thanks for any trouble shooting tips.

-Woog

Looking at a pic of a regulator, I would suspect the wire is catching/rubbing somewhere. Remove the door panel and check for damage. I've seen wires cut through plastic wheels or fray apart.

If you had a power probe, you could find the wires easier. Or use a Voltmeter. If you remove the door panel, you can test using the motor wires.

Thanks for the tip gchemist.

I have not had the door panel all the way off yet to really get in there to check things out.

I just had the switch out, checking a few things.

Would be nice if it was something simple for a change.
