I need to change the clutch on my truck, it is a 92 C1500 ,5 transmission, 2 wheel drive,I have the HAYNES manual but would like to get some pointers from somebody who has done this before (specially how you lifted the truck before starting the job)

Rent, buy, or borrow a transmission jack. It's simple with the right jack, miserable with floor jacks.

Jack it up and set it as high as you can on jack stands. Again, get a transmission jack.
