A husband and wife were in the delivery room for the birth of their first child; both were completely new to everything, and quite apprehensive. The gynecologist/obstetrician told the husband they had developed a new technique where the father of the child could "absorb" some of the wife's pain, and asked if he wanted to try it. It involved a very high tech machine and used radio waves to accomplish the transfer of pain. Loving his wife as he did, of course he wanted to try it, and the OB/Gyn started out by asking if he'd like to try for 20% of his wife's pain. He did so, and they soon went to 40%; followed shortly by 60%. Being this technique was so new, the OB/Gyn was a little hesitant, but asked if he'd like to try 100%, since he had handled the other increases so well. They went to 100%, and delivered the child easily. The next day, they arrived home with their new baby, to only discover their mailman dead on the front porch (???). I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Should be written that the father of the child can absorb some of the pain from the mother.
