I can not find the steelplate that is between the fender and the frame and is stopping all the mud and dirt to bee thrown to the body from the wheel.(i dont know the word for it, mud plate maybe??).
I got the one on the right side so a friend of mine was supposed to do the other one. Is there anyone out there in the chevyworld who have made those and have some drawings or could help me to messure those plates. Maybe someone have a pair to sell??? Carla.

Carla, these are fairly easy to remove. My suggestion would be to drop the one on the right side and use that for measurements. It would be a mirror image for the one on the left.

Can you post a pic of the part you installed on the right side so we're all on the same page?

Maybe this will help. If you are talking about the upright panel[s]...There are two separate panels that attach to the "U" channel in your photo and form a sort of upright inner fender. They are 8.164 BAFFLE [long upright with flat bottom], and 8.164 BAFFLE EXTENSION [a triangular panel]....refer to scan. The larger uprights show up frequently on eBay...the smaller triangular panels are a little more difficult to find.

Not sure from your explanation whether you still have one or if both pieces are missing. But, as already mentioned, if you DO have at least one of the sheet metal pieces(either side), you can take your measurements from it to make another, but just bend it the opposite direction to duplicate the missing one.
And possibly a "wanted" ad on this site could find one, or a pair, that someone can send you.
Good luck.

The easiest way to explain this is that i have none because i can't find the plate i'm supposed to have.
Ram, it's the 8.164 baffle but it's the small one behind the big trianglepart. You only see a little bit of it.

If it's he one behind the larger upright panel "B" in the scan below then you have it in the photo you posted. The one on the opposite side is simply a mirror image of the one you have.

The response I got from the OP was they had one at one time(apparently when the pic was taken), but now can't find it. So I'm assuming they're in the hunt for a pair, now.

I found this ONE on eBay, but you're not gonna like the price. I think it's a little high myself...especially given the condition. If your fender is mounted, you could easily fabricate one from pieces of cardboard to use as a template for making one from flat stock. There are additional photos at the link provided below to help in that process. Maybe that's what your friend had in mind.

That's the plate i'm looking for. But the price on this one was too much. Now when people know what i'm looking for maybe someone has one and could help me measure it up. Thank's Ram for your help. Carla.

IHMO, $45.00 isn't bad. You'll spend probably the good part of a couple of days fabbing one up.

It was more the price against the condition the part was in that i thought was a little bit high. When i buy parts in the US i send it to an adress in Compton CA then to Sweden in a container White a lot of other parts. Send it directly to Sweden cost a lot.

Carla, I happen to have the left one off of my '51 Fleetline right now. I have a 3 day weekend coming up...so maybe I can make a template for you during that time...formulating how I will do that...stay tuned!

I haven't forgotten. I'm putting the finishing touches on the pattern. Still need to get the one inch grid lines on it. I know it's metric in Sweden, but you should be able to find an inch measurement somewhere...right?

I don't know what to say. It's a really good thing you are doing for me. Change it to the metric system is no problem. A friend of mine is going to help me and he have modified some cars. Maybe you have seen his work on HAMB when he chopped some 36 Ford Coupe and a 50 Mercury. Kenneth is his name.

Let me know how this works. It would require an 18 gauge piece of sheet metal 7" X 20.5"....each square in 1" X 1". All bends are upward and at 90º. The flanges with the holes are also bent at 90º although with somewhat more of a radius [not a hard 90º bend].
