Hi Lamar,
Not available as repro parts as far as I know but should not be too hard to find in a junkyard.

Hey John, thank you for your reply. I checked at the largest junk yard near me and when I put the washer on the counter he knew right off what it was and then the next thing he said was, good luck finding that one. I'll just use one original on each vent window and a regular washer. Wanted to keep it original but I will just go this route. Thank you again, Lamar

Hi Lamar,
I just went and looked at my jars of nuts and bolts and I think I've got two of these unusual bolt/washers. They are out of a '62 Impala but they look the same as the ones in your photo. So, I can send them to you; just need your postal address.
Cheers,John

Hey John, that sounds great!! The attached picture of two washers are, “A” the washer in question which is 1 ¼” OD X 5/16” ID. Washer “B” with the bolt in it is one of the bolts that hold the trunk lid to the hinge arm and it is smaller, 1 1/8” OD X 5/16” ID. I had first given the thought of using three of these washers and using regular ones on the lid and when I could come up with three others, I could replace them much easier than having to remove the door panel but they are smaller and barely covers the hole in the vent window frame plus they won’t come off the bolt. If you have 3 of the larger washers, I would love to have them, just let me know how much. Thank you very much, Lamar

Hi Lamar,
I went back and measured the washer and found that the two I have are of the smaller diameters, so from what you say they are for the trunk. Looks like they are not what you need, although you can have them if you like just for spares. No charge.
Meantime I'll keep looking in my parts to see if I can find the right ones, sorry about that,
John

Tomorrow I will take another bolt from the trunk and see if I can get the washer off the bolt and see exactly how well it fits and if I think that they will work I will let you know. Thank you, Lamar

Hey John, I tried to get the washers off the bolts that are in the trunk lid with no success. In picture “A” you can see where the original washer was biting in and in picture “B” I held the bolt and washer in the hole and I believe that the small ones will hold well enough. I can use one of the original and one of the small ones on each side. I will still be one short but I will just use a regular washer on the window adjustment stud. If your offer is still good, I will take you up on it only if I can pay you for them. Let me know and I will PM you. Lamar

Lamar,

If you still need these you can order these or see if you have a local billiard supply house near you. I don't know that they are EXACTLY the same size but I do know they are used with 3/8" studs on pool table rails. https://www.muellers.com/Crown-Lock-Washer,194 5.ht...

Thank you Chris for the suggestion, I called a place today but they didn’t answer the phone even though their website indicated that they were open today, I will try again tomorrow. Thanks again, Lamar

Hey Don, last week I checked at a local auto paint store that carries a few auto clips, fasteners, etc., and they didn’t have these but the lady checked Fastenal while I was there and they don’t carry them either. I got more results when I searched “dome washers” but nothing near me.

Hey Chris, I have emailed back and forth with Chris, coincidence, at Muellers and the washer is 1 3/8” OD so it will work and I just ordered five so that will give me a spare. He checked to see if I could buy these locally but the one that he suggested doesn’t sell the ones that he has because he uses them in his repair business. I will let you know how close they are to the original ones after I get them. Thank you for the information. Lamar

I got the washers today and will try them tomorrow. They are pretty close to being the same, close enough for government work. Chris thank you again for the lead. Lamar

Glad I could help. I swear I have seen them someplace in one of the Repro Books but I could not find them taking a quick look. A LOT of the other hardware and guide rollers, stops, etc was used on the tri-5's so a lot of it I have found in Danchuk's Catalog. One more source is AMK these show for Chrysler but pretty close. https://www.amkproducts.com/bulk3.asp?part=B%2D113...

Chris I checked their website and that washer appears to be ¼” ID but the OD is really close. They look more like the original ones and if they had of been the same size I would buy them. I will mix the new, which seems to be good enough, with the original on the vent windows. Again, thank you, Lamar

I have found that whenever I need something original Southeast Chevy parts almost always can help. Danny seems like a pretty good guy when it comes to that stuff. I just got them to send me an original horn ring kit since apparently the after market ones suck. He explained to me that they are a constant irritation and went and found me a stock unit. Just a thought.
