Hello,
Trying to ID this dash wire it is purple one side of terminal the other side is brown none of the terminals are live.67 impala no ac sbc. I was thinking possibly heater switch?

This is just a guess but I think my Chevelle had a purple wire as part of the rear defroster wiring. Photobucket was sitting and spinning for me but it might be just the way I'm connected.

Thank you for trying I dont have a rear defroster. Sorry photo bucket didnt work. Its a two prong female terminal one side purple that seems to starts behind heater box and extends to drivers side to about middle of the cluster. The second prong is brown and has two female terminals about 2 inches apart.

Check out the reference material thread. There is a colored wiring diagram which might help you. But i couldnt find anything at the first glance

I think the pigtails go to the heater control relay. I will look more into it tonight and report back I do t like to leave posts with no closure haa. Thank you for you help.

Correction the wire is the original speaker wire that ran to the rear of car.
