hey I'm new to the forum but I'm 17 fixing up a 1973 chevy nova hatchback and my transmission is leaking under my B&M shifter cable which the previous owner installed, how should I address this issue? I was thinking maybe the shifter seal wasn't put back on correctly or when pulling out the original, the previous owner may have gouged out the shift shaft, any ideas or pointers on what to look at would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to CT. Do you mean where the shift comes out of the case there is a leak?
