This will be my first actual car build and am pretty excited. Love learning about the car and improving my skills in the garage. I'm a little bit overwhelmed, but I have two hands and a heartbeat so it makes me fully qualified for the job.

Here is how my dad found the car. Couldn't say no a 2 door fleetline, and my dad owned a 4 door growing up.

Here is where it sat for a couple years until I finished my Camaro and made room in my garage

The 216 has seen better days.

Putting in a 1959 235 .040 over, 848 head with a bulldog hydraulic cam from Tom Langdon. Dont know what I should do as far as an intake/carb setup as of yet;200-4r with a 3.73 10 bolt soon

I like it as a project. They are pretty cars.

I suspect it would be a great candidate for one of the new complete floorpan assemblies.

Be sure and keep the pictures coming so we can follow along.

I thought about the complete subfloor, but thats way beyond my skill set. I'm still learning to weld!

First two brace ends are shot.

Brace installed to cut the rocker out

The inner rocker was all torn up and bent. Must have gotten hit with something.

The pillar brace is good. Going to clean it up and try to get the floor pan and rocker under it
