I had to remove (cut) the bulkhead connector from my 56's firewall to hookup my new alternator.
I am reconnecting all of the wire now. I have parking lights, turn signals and brake lights.
The only thing that I don't have are headlights. I understand the Light Green wire is for low beams (found that one) and that the Tan wire is for the high beams. That one I can't find and don't know where it went.
I've been under the dash a couple of times to try to trace back to the bulkhead with no luck.
I can see on a schematic where it should go but for some reason I can't find the Tan wire when I'm under the dash.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've thought of the possibility the P.O. may have spliced a different color wire onto the Tan wire.

On a 56, the tan and light green headlight wires come from the dimmer switch through a grommet into the main harness and then out through the firewall plug. Link to headlight wires.

Hmmm, by that diagram, Light Green is for High Beams. I thought it was the other way around. (Tan for high.)

Yes, a light green wire also goes to the high beam indicator bulb in the dash from the firewall plug.
There is only one yellow wire from the headlight switch to the dimmer switch.
