I have a 1955 chevy convertible with a chevy 350 and a 700r4 trans. When I drive at night the headlights go out and than come back on about 30 seconds later. How do I fix this. I have a brand new lite switch?????

Sounds to me that you need a relay in that system

Late yr model (Dec. 51 BelAir/ 52 trim), with a basically stock 67 Camaro SS350/295hp Turbo Fire Edelbrock 1405, Saginaw 4spd/355 geared 55/6 Chevy rear.2,1st place, and 1 top five award trophies so far

The 55 light switch has 2 sets of circuit breaker contacts. One is for the headlights.

Here's the entire shop manual online:

Here's the page that shows the circuit breaker contacts:

First make sure you aren't overloading the headlamp circuit. If you are certain you do not have an overload in the circuit, adjust the headlight circuit breaker contacts by bending the contacts apart just a touch. Best to do this with the battery disconnected.

Good luck.
