Pablo,
I already have my tickets.

Tell Bob it is in October, that will give him time to foul up his car and get it fixed before the real date!

Hot Rodger, how about you, Paul, and Tim? think that's enough time to get you slick 57 out there?

Nailhead, I expect you there for sure, with your magazine connection.

Larry, Here is your early personal invite. If you feel like taking another ride in November.

Think I will rattle the cages of our other friends that historically dribble in after thing get settled. Will bring a tent or two, carpets, and we can set up our encampment to represent the ChevyTalk faithful.

Hope to see you all there. Bring a friend, getting tired of insulting the same batch of dead beats.

Junior

I just bought my ticket online too. I'm in.

Who else?

This is gonna be a fun day of cars, burgers, burnouts and mayhem on the strip!

I have been registered for months. I cannot wait to see what this beast will do.
The last time I went down the strip at Pomona I was 20 years old and raced in C Gas at the Winter Nationals.
The wagon is probably quicker than the Gasser I drove.

Steve,
That would be funny if it weren't too true. Sadly the '56 is still doing it's imitation of a Triumph. Looks like I have the same problem No Dice had with a warped intake manifold. No mater what I do it is leaking oil so I just ordered a new one. This is getting really old. Anyway even if it gets all straightened out the car doesn't meet the safety standards for the speed bracket it would run. Besides that drag racing is booked out already. But we plan on being there.
I just read that if we want to park together we need to enter together.

Art, That's looking as good as I remember it. I guess you will be in the pits somewhere. We will try and find you there and offer support. I bet that your car will really fly. See you there. I will PM you my phone number and maybe you can call us in case we can't find you?

Bob, Aw, that is to bad. You going to bring the Corvette then? I hope. I just saw they have opened up Friday entry for the show. I was planning on going Saturday, early. Check with Pablo and see what he is doing. We can meet before we go in and park where ever we have to to be together. Let's firm up the plan in the next week or two. I am so looking forward to going. Larry will be there too, but I think he is going with some friends from up north, will double check him too before we go.

Steve, can you get up and get moving real early on Saturday?
Maybe we should all meet at the Del Taco on Arrow Highway exit of the 57 freeway (in San Dimas) at 4am.
Then we can all head out together, entering from the Arrow Hwy side of the complex.

Everyone OK with that plan? Means you got to go to bed early Friday and get up early Saturday...

The gate won't open until 700am, but if everybody wants 4 I can make it. I need to tell Peter, and Danny. Mike is riding with me. Can you get Bobby up that early?

Steve, unfortunately I am generally up at that time almost daily. After putting the engine back together I have discovered the new leak is isolated to the driver's side cylinder head rear edge. Specifically where the block plug is and where the head meets the intake. The intake is not leaking. The area is the edge of the head gasket where it come close to the intake manifold. Fel Pro recommends you put "a dab" of Ultra Black RTV. Well I spoke with Fel Pro tech support and they told me the likely problem is apparently I did not put enough...LOL. So the tech said I should put enough that it squeezes out. In addition he recommended that prior to installing the head I should remove the plug and instead of APR thread sealer I coat it with RTV then reinstall it and plug the void with RTV. Then prior to installing the head place the intake on loosely bolted to the other head. Then mark the head and be sure to put RTV at least up to that mark.
Due to conflicting obligations it is not likely I will get it done in time. To that end I may be riding with Paul.

Click on the link below to see where to meet.

5:30am.
Del Taco on Arrow Hwy in San Dimas.
It's right there at the bottom of the northbound 57 offramp at Arrow Hwy.

It will be me and Hyper in my wifes 59 Apache truck.
Who else is planning to meet us there for caravan over to the racetrack?
