stock suspension 1963 biscayne, what is the largest rim (17") and tire I can put on the rear without modifications? not worried about exhaust as it will be removed. Looking at 17" hurst dazzler rims but need info for backspace etc. any help appreciated

As a person who has worked on and stock and custom cars for many, many years I have one suggestion to the age old "what non-stock size wheel / tire combination will fit my vehicle" question...

Buy, borrow or rent the tool to measure YOUR vehicle.

I mean no harm with the above statement and here is why I give that advice. I have seen several times where a 50 year old vehicle such as these was damaged in a crash and repaired, rusted, sagged or simply poorly assembled by the crew at the plant. Whatever the reason, person number one gets large by huge wheels installed and they "just bolted on" with no trouble. The next guy wants the same but has to trim all kinds of stuff and they still rub.
