Will the front brake assembly from a 1955 Chevy car fit on a 1952 pick up spindles?

The brake should be the same type on both, Bendix. The shoe size and drum might be different.
But the drum assembly with bearings might fit the truck spindle as is. I assume we are talking 1/2 ton?

The 55 car backing plates will not fit the truck spindles. If your original backing plates are damaged or missing, you can use any 51-55 first series 1/2 ton truck front backing plates. In case you aren't already aware, the car shoes and most of the other brake hardware (but not the drums or wheel cylinders) are the same as used on the 1/2 ton trucks.

Hi Widall, Are you aiming for 5 studs or 6 stud wheel mount with those brakes?
