Hi All,
just pulled the driver's door off my 57 sport sedan and realized the lower 3" of the frame is badly rusted. Maybe a stupid question but does anyone have just the lower part of a left front door in good condition (from a wrecked car or whatever) that they could sell and send to me in Germany? Before anyone cuts up a good door, I would rather try and make my own patch, but ... asking is worth a try!
thanks,
Markus

If you are going to use only the lower part, would a 4 door sedan (post) door work? It would probably be easier to find.

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.

Hi Ray, to be honest I have never seen a 4 door sedan door up close. I was thinking of shortening a 2 dr hdtp patch panel, but I hear that even they are completely different.

I know the bottom part of the shell of a two door sedan and two door hardtop differ. I would think the four door parts differ as well.

Hi Jay, yes I would imagine they are different too, so it would be a risk. The four door hardtop generally has even more unique stuff to the rest of the body styles.
