They're starting to be spotted across the USA.

Have you seen one yet? If so, what are your reactions? Like it? Hate it? Why?

(Please reply if you only saw one IN PERSON, instead of online).

I personally have not seen one in person yet, so I do not have a real world reaction.

Local Chevy dealer has 3 of them and they are all black and identical in every respect. I looked at one of them earlier tonight but nothing appealed to me, they were LT's. My friend may buy one of them but he is having a hard time liking black as his job has him off-road a lot (logging).

They will only discount it $2,000.

The GMC Sierra has an option for a power tailgate
I can just see the warranty problems with that!
Looked at both, I think the GMC is superior to the Chevy and I've had Chevrolets my whole life.

It's more than a power tailgate. It has what I'll call a "tailgate within a tailgate" where you can haul a longer load up higher than the bed but with the mini tailgate up. But even more intriguing is that it will fold down into a step that's actually negotiable, even for a geezer.

There are ads on TV and the internet showing it. I haven't researched what they cost, hope it's (kind of) reasonable.

I love full size pickups, but one of the things I lament is that the body and bed are so much higher than 70s/80s pickups even on 1/2T 2wd models. Chevy had a notch in the bumper ends that helped with bed access but it wasn't enough.

So I'll be looking at a 19 GMC.

Swing and a miss.....I think it has no attractive body lines to catch light on and distinguish it from any other truck silhouette out there. I also miss the days when Chevrolet made 4 wheel drive trucks with a lower stance,....a big advantage when you use a truck for work.
