Hello everyone,

I'm new here but not to automotive forums. I will apologize in advance if this information is out there but have searched and haven't come up with anything to answer my questions. My father has a 1927 Capitol AA 2 door, all original as far as I know. It's never been running in my life time (35 years). I think he took it off the road in the mid 70s. I'm starting to think about it more and more and want to attempt to get it running, problem is I have no idea where to start. I'm mechanically inclined and technical but have never really dug into motors too much. I understand you need air, spark and fuel to run but don't know where to start. Is there anything I can check before attempting to turn this over? Are there things to bypass or replace with newer technology before starting? I know it's a big ask for a step by step but that's where I am at. I am slowly readying through the online manual for this thing and have learned a lot already but can quite connect the dots yet. Thanks for any replys and let's hope this thing get back on the road as I believe cars should be driven except for extreme cases.

Welcome to ChevyTalk.
