Not quite finished yet but the mechanic guys let me have it for a while so I could go cruising with the local car club. First time I have driven it since 1986? Still a lot of little things that aren't done but ran fine. Two years and 11 months and a big thank you to my mechanic friends who worked on it weekends. Bruce, Jarvis, and Jason. Also many thanks to Chevy Talk guys who encouraged me to keep it and to Paul and others for all their advice. Tomorrow it is off to the local car show.
great Glen. Looks great -is it as fast as you remember it ?? probably taking it easy for a time....
glad to have helped.

Nice ride, Fander.
it looks like a sibling of my first 62 from 1969. It was a red in black SS 327/250 4 speed with an 097 solid lifter cam. It was a stripper though. No ps or pb, bumper guards and only a front antenna. Good memories...wish I never had sold it.
I don't remember it ever being a very fast car but I can spin the wheels on my gravel driveway. My modern vehicles won't let me do that with their traction control. I didn't remember how high a ratio first gear is. Not much difference between first and second gear. I had forgotten I didn't use second and shifted from first to third then fourth. BW T-10. I did put 4:11 gears in the rear end when I was a teenager but I didn't like them on the highway. Cost me ten dollars.
Hey Glenn it’s “looking good!!!”. That’s a lot different from when Shirey and I were out there. Shoot us some pictures from the car show. Thanks for sharing. Lamar
