Howdy all

I had to replace my brake proportioning valve PV2 finding out the scary way after 7 years in service. This time I want to install a warning light to prevent the scary way again. plus, find out if I damage valve when a bleed it without a proportioning valve bleeder tool that I never heard of it or the local parts store clerks and it didn't come with the valve. But, I digress.

Is there a link to diagrams to wire up warning light into my 56 I haven't seen any on goggle or kits.
Thanks in advance

You might be able to find a diagram from a 67 or later vehicle, but it's not really necessary. All you need is a lamp socket that has both terminals insulated from ground. Connect one terminal to ignition switched power and the other to the switch on the valve.

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.

I would suggest buying your PV2 valve from CPP, although you should be able to recenter your present valve. They also sell the tool. POL sell an aluminum tool that I prefer. Make sure the valve is centered when your valve comes. (It should be)

Lamps from AAW come in various colors. I made a simple mounting bracket and put it inside the car beneath the far left hand side of the dash next to the E-brake handle. Wire as mentioned above.

It's all good. mostly

Hi Freebird, The bleeder tool just locks the shuttle valve in place so fluid flows around as if it wasn't there.

Do you have Disc fronts and drum rears?

If not your car doesn't need a combination valve if drum/drum or disc/disc.
