Did the 1973 C10s come with an EGR?

OK thanks...I had a Q-jet intake off a 73 car and I'm pretty sure it did. Just thought maybe trucks may have been different.

My 74 I bought 3 years was all stock original engine. It had one. I have read several people talking about deleting it but I never did. Last weekend I got an idea to delete it. I could definitely tell the engine runs much better and starts much better, I have no regrets about deleting it. We do not have any emissions here on this model so oh well.

California's Emissions Law exempts all 1975 and older vehicles.

EGR started showing up in 1971. By 1973 it was the method of choice to lower combustion chamber temperatures by introducing an inert gas that was not combustable.

In other words, it created less power.
