Is there a work around to the 2 speed wiper system. I would like to have a delay function on the low speed.

I have used the Revolution Electronics module #13023.
The original motor went up in smoke after many years of service. A rebuilt unit was used and it worked fine.
I then got the idea to get a Revolution Electronics delay system. After many videos with the company they sent me a replacement unit. All the wiring instructions were followed and it was hit and miss if you could get the delay and then when it came time to shut them off, well that was another story.
They would begin to go to park then start flapping up and down. Numerous positions of the switch were tried until they finally parked and quit. After replacing the wiper switch in the dash and another wiper motor things finally worked... not great but.....

The other day I came of a show and it was raining. I could not even get the wipers to turn on. Drove home very cautiously.
Mechanic checked it over and found that the grounds were good and by tapping the top of the wiper motor you could get it started. Says that the wiper motor has 2 wirings in the motor, one for each speed and it is not possible to get a variable speed with a rheostat type switch.

Any other suggestions to get the variable speed.
Have you used another type of module or a stand alone variable switch to control the low speed portion of the wipers.

There was a post about Newport Engineering.
I purchased the new wiper motor along with the delay switch. Works nice. One snag was that the switch body for the wiper delay interfered with the bar on the dash. The solution was to drill a separate hole for the switch in the lower portion of the dash. They did offer an extension as an accessory but I decided that I had spent enough and the extra dollars for the extension was not worth it
Had I bought the extension for the switch it would have fit in the proper oe wiper position.
The delay switch also incorporated the washer function.
Happy Camper.
