I eventually want to put headers on my 1984 Conquista. It has a 305 with air conditioning. I want to go with ceramic-coated or stainless steel. Does anyone who has done this tell me which ones will fit without too many problems (part no.s etc. from the major vendors). As always any help will be appreciated.

Ive got an 80 with a built 283, Bolt pattern is the same for any small block. Ive used the cheapo hedman headers from summit and had a buddy who owns a powder coating shop do a silver ceramic coating for cheap. Can tell you these headers fit as they should, 0 problems installing. My car is not an a/c car though so I would look into that before setting anything in stone.

I have Hedman 3/4 length headers on my ‘78 Elky with air, but I have fuel injection with a serpentine system. The only thing you should need running headers instead of cast iron manifolds are spacers to keep the brackets out where they belong. I’ve had cars in the past with headers and A/C and needed to make my own spacers. None of the parts I have ever bought that were supposed to be for switching to headers with A/C were ever correct. Maybe things have changed, it’s been a while.
