The question is in the title. Would like to install a good stick on heat/sound barrier on floor before installing carpet. Anyone recommend a good one.

I've heard that Dynamat is the way to go but I have never used it. The last full carpet that I replaced I bought that OEM type insulation that looks like a gray blanket about 1/2 inch thick that has multiple colors in it.

Keep in mind that whatever you add will add weight to the car, especially the newer materials. Depending upon the sounds that you are trying to mask, you might want to check suspension and body mounts.
