Duplicate of my post in MonteCarlo section. The Lumina (& maybe other models) should be the same.

1998 Monte Carlo 3.1V6.
Air Conditioner quit working. Compressor does not engage.
Thought I'd try a Haynes suggestion and force compressor on for a minute-see if it cools by using a jumper wire across the terminals of the low pressure sensor.
Where is this sensor? Haynes manual says its on the evaporator inlet line. I can see where the tubing enters the cabin-back behind the engine. And can (barely) see the 2 service ports down below the air cleaner. Can't see any switch.
My question today is: Where is this low pressure switch (sensor)?

Followup to my above post:
There is a fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
Most of the printing is worn off. Could someone tell me what each of
the fuses/relays are for. Or maybe a closeup pic of the cover.

sounds like same issue I have with 2001 impala fuse box lid. My bottom half is a ghost image. I know something there but cant read
