Hi Y'all,

Anyone know the correct thickness of 3M double sided tape to hold on the mouldings on my 2011 GMC Sierra? Is it the 0.76mm x 1/2" or 7/8", or is it the 1.12mm x 1/2" or 7/8"?

Thanks in advance for any information.

You'd be better off with the thicker one. The flanges on the backside of the moldings aren't exactly parallel to the door surface, preventing 100% contact for the full width of the tape. I've had to redo mine before on my 2008. That was a few years ago.

One edge still came up just a bit after a few years, but I successfully tacked it down with some weatherstrip adhesive and haven't had a problem since.

Good luck!
