Maybe we should involve a Realtor in this effort.
They all deal with lots of addresses and such.
How about we get all the Saturday attendees to list their info, and we can get the rest by phone or E-mail. I would be more comfortable sharing info with you guys in person, than by social media.
Looking forward to seeing you at CFAC.

That's M organ.

In school we used "big & little" instead of "capital & lowercase".

So when read aloud I became "Big M little organ".

My Buick is misbehaving, I can't seem to get the tune-up right. I will be there in a bow-tie for sure.

You can do a "Day of" entry.
Show up early Saturday, get on line.
After you get in drive to the "Baja Blue" restaurant, Our camp is on the opposite side of the road, Look for the CT banner.

Well Paul and I are coming down Friday afternoon. Sara is so excited, she bought a '50's era Red Poka Dot Dress for the event. I buddy who owns a local body shop will be either driving his '64 Caddy or trailering his '56 Blown Straight axle Bel Air down. He will want to join us. His name is Jerry Hurley.

Bob, if your friend is pre registered, send me his address and I will add him to the list. If he has not pre registered, we will see him Saturday after he has registered.

Well a change in plans. (George I didn't want you to feel like the loan Indian with a car that was not behaving...LOL!) A few weeks ago the fan controller (I replaced it) in the '56 died and the engine overheated. Well apparently I blew a head gasket (MLS) on the outer edges. The good news is there is no cross contamination between the oil and coolant...yet! The bad news is there is oil leaking below three of the head bolts between the heads and block as well as at the rear of both heads. I will not risk making matters worse by bring it to CFAC. Sadly I don't have time to do the tear down and replace the head gaskets between now and Friday nor have I had time the past 2 weeks.
So here are my choices, Drive the GTO to CFAC or the '73 Corvette (Red one I brought a few years ago).
Neither have been driven much this past year so I think since the weather will be mild I will be driving the Vette.
Real bummer since I wanted to drive the '56 with the new rear gears.

Well looks like someone or something it trying to stop me from going. So here is the latest. I go over and grab the Vette, which hasn't been driven in over a year. Flat front tire. Ok, I air it up take it to be fixed. Man this thing is gutless. Yes I know it is only a 350-250HP but a Toyota Trecel was keeping up with me on a flat out acceleration. It felt like the secondaries on the four barrel wasn't kicking in. So this afternoon I open the hood and find the throttle is not engaging all the way. Ok fixed that and suddenly it is backfiring through the carb (stock Quadracrap). Obviously the accelerator pump has taken a dump. I look and the plug on the vacuum port is dryrotted. So I change that and play with the idle mixing screws hoping for some good news. Well at a stop, reving it up all sounds good so I take it for a spin and at first all good then suddenly back to popping through the carb again. I get home and start looking for a carb shop and find one. The owner says he has rebuilt over a 1000 Quadrajets and if I bring it over he will have it done by noon Friday. It barely makes it there. He says likely the accelerator plunger has fallen apart. He also looks at the points and they are obviously some cheap off shore crap and falling apart. He quickly swaps in a new set and it starts up and sounds a little better until you try to hard accelerate and then it grumbles and pops. He will have it done in the morning so here we go with our plan B.

Oh and back to the parts for the '56...I forgot MLS head gaskets are sold in EACH and I only ordered one by mistake. I called Summit and they promised it will be here by Monday, no charge for shipping. So when I get back from Tuna fishing looks like I will be replacing the head gaskets!

Yes it was! Both seeing very one and the show, as always. Thanks to Debbie and Ross! We love being a part of this special annual event . The ChevyTalk Group had a good turn out, plus several guests. Like HYPR said, let's do it again in Pomona. I can't wait.

It was a great show, and a good time seeing everybody again. Special thanks out to Steve, Paul, Bob and George for setting things up and making sure we had our special spot. Unfortunately as those that were there heard, on my drive up to the show my car hit a dip in the freeway (at about 80 MPH) my partners behind me saw sparks fly. Everything checked ok on the gauges so I continued driving on in to the show (leaving a trail of oil). The rest of the oil drained at the show while I waited for the flatbed.
Ended up, I had ground the bottom edge off my oil pan. Everything else looks good...so far.

Lucky that it was just an oil pan to replace Rodger. Great seeing you guys from the south. Get that pan fixed and meet us in Pomona on Nov 17 for the Hot Rod Magazine/InNOut 70th anniv. show and drags.
