Tony MIA again? This will be the second year in a row! I am beginning to think you don't like us anymore! Hmmm maybe it's Steve's Fault!
I am going and I will be in North Carolina the week before and leaving on a Tuna trip on Sunday after so if I can make it Tony so can you. Just saying...
BTW, Do we have our usual reserved location again this year with Friday entry?

Like we used to tell people applying for sales positions in the copier industry, So you want to know how make Big Money in this business? Simply push the enlargement key! Problem is all Money must be exactly 6.1" so what you make is pretty much useless...UNLESS of course you do in on a Color Copier in which case all your housing expenses, Food and clothing will be covered for the rest of your life! Another exciting benefit is you will never be lonely on a Friday night! LOL!
Looks like Steve's dating calendar will be full! LOL!

Ive also been coming to CFAC with the ChevyTalk group (parking my car on Friday nights) for probably about 10 years now, and I can attest to what Steve is saying here....that the organizers won't continue to grant CT our premier spot and high # of spaces into perpetuity....unless our group shows up in mass.

So...bottom line...if any of you reading this post are going to show up for CFAC this year, please 1) get your registration $ and form in with CFAC quickly 2) make darned sure you write "ChevyTalk" in on the line that asks what club or group you are with, and 3)plan to get here between about 4 and 6pm latest on Friday night to park your car in a spot "early" if at all possible. If you absolutely cannot get here until Saturday, then you'd better be IN the fairgrounds by 5am, because the limited # of spots we are given will be filled up quickly.

Work with us guys...we're trying to keep this great spot we have committed to ChevyTalk. If we have a "light" attendance year, the organizers of CFAC will know it, and may not give us our prime viewing spot...right there across from the Baja Blues eatery.

Let's do this boys. Let's make 2018 the banner year for ChevyTalk representation at CFAC!

I think we need staff to look up all the West Coast members and send a personal invitation to them to come to CFAC as Club members and to log into this Forum. Anyone know how we can accomplish this?

George,
Paul and Bob will be there. So far you and them are the guys we know about. Rodger, his two buddies and myself will be Saturday. The other three on the list are unsure as of tonight. I will keep in touch and I am going to send a cell phone list so you can get to each other on Friday. You have the same cell number? I called it and left a message. 949 289-0957 is my new cell number, if you have a number change, send it to me and I will put it on the list.
Junior

PS I left you two messages. One at home and one on the cell number I have for you. Did you get either of those??

I am surprised and extremely disappointed at the low level of interest to this on this thread. I know come Saturday morning there will be about a dozen late comers wondering if we can squeeze their cars in. Guys all it takes is posting and letting Steve know in advance that you either have registered or are intending on coming so that a spot can be reserved or set aside for you. In year gone by we used to have 20-25 committed attendees. Based on the response or lack of it, looks like our special spot will be occupied by some other group next year. Sorry to be so blunt but no one else said what several of us were already thinking.

Got my packet today, #2076. Not sure if I am coming though, might not be worth it without the goody bag. I really need and was counting on that Maguire's (primer) Wax!

Going to see the Big Kahuna, Brother Willy, Friday. Maui Raceway Park has cancelled their entire racing season. They completely rebuilt the track and, I guess the resurfacing is not yet completed. As the Grand-kids cousin would say, "I'm so sad".

Additionally, I was denied registration in the Big Wave Surf Competition for like the tenth time. I guess the locals are still afraid of my prowess on the long-board and have deferred making a decision on adding the Kahiko Mamona Haole group as a category. Oh well, maybe next year, we can only e hoʻomanawanui.

Thanks for the run down on CFAC attendees Steve.
Can you find out what the maximum space is they are allocating to CT. I will caution tape that off on Friday night.

Some years, we get imposed upon by other groups before we call get in there, so i'd like to know what the CFAC folks are allowing us for space...

Keep the longboard at home man. It makes a better workbench in your garage that under you in the water...

It's haole. Spelling it that way makes you the howlie. Seems like eight is all we have confirmed. So 80 feet for cars plus the corner for tents and carpets. I'd spread out the three cars and two tents from end to end and throw the carpets in between to occupy as much as you can. Don't forget enough tape to go around it all. I will come before 4am. With luck I am hoping some others will get there sooner also.

It's been best in the past to park diagonally or even long wise with at least one car all the way to the end. That will give you something to wrap the tape around. That's about as much as we can do. Maybe some signs on the tape and put your chairs out? Plus you can reposition the trash cans.

Rodger, the earlier the better.

Thanks gremlin.
