Has anyone made a purchase of a AMD (Auto Metal Direct) New Chrome Bumper for their 1970-1972 Monte Carlo? The reason I ask is that I need to replace the rear bumper on my 1970 Monte Carlo. My car was restored many years ago with my original 2 bumpers sent out to a place in South Carolina to be Show Chromed. Can't remember the name of the place right now as of the moment but I believe they went out of business. The car is always kept indoors in a dry area in my Pole Barn with my other collector cars. I found recently that in the right hand corner of the rear bumper the chrome started peeling. It looks terrible and a little rust has formed. The front bumper is still in perfect shape so I need to either send my rear bumper out to be show chromed again somewhere or purchase a brand new bumper. I believe I sent them out during the late 80's early 90's to be done that is how long ago it was. The price is right on the "claimed" Triple Chrome Plated AMD Bumper but I like to take a look at what I purchase before hand and it is not possible. I have to rely on Feedback from other people who have purchased a AMD Bumper recently. Hoping to find someone here on the Chevy Talk forum. Any help always appreciated.

I purchased a new rear bumper from Original Parts Group last year for my 70 Monte and it is decent. The chrome is not a perfect car show quality but still very nice.
